What really makes me think in this passage is the way in which he reacted when he achieved his lifelong goal from all of this. I personally haven't felt that kind of joy ever since I was born, but I think that it must be a) really exciting and draining, b) really refreshing, or c) extremely touching. This is because a) the excitement can get your energy up and then you can crash, b) You don't really need to worry about trying for it anymore, and c) It took you that long to get it and getting it done just gets you all emotional. I still haven't felt any of these feelings with any of my achievements (if that's what I can call them), but have any of you guys felt any of these? Am I missing something in the big picture? Am I totally missing the bigger picture? Please do correct me, and please give any opinions that you might have.
